so after breaking the axle in my buddys k5 we figured butting in anothe 10 bolt would be a waste, so we went to the junk yard, ive heard that the six lug sf 14 worked with 15 inch rims, all the trucks with the 6 lug had 16s though. so will a 15 work?

also what all is involved in the conversion, all i know is the spring perches need to be moved and you need the conversion u joint. is that all?

thanks
cody

Shock mounts is the only of thing I believe.

Not sure why, but the yoke on mine bolted right up to my factory 1/2 ton driveshaft. I'd double check yours, also the spring pad and shock mounts are definately different.

15 inch rims will work no problem.

I'm doing the same exact thing in my blazer as I also tosted the 10 bolt.

If your in no hurry you can watch my thread

I just ordered a locker for the 14 bolt 4 wheel parts tells me its a 14day wait. Since I rarely use this truck getting this axle in wont be on my high priority list, but it will get done!
