I am looking at getting a shackle flip within the next few week. i was planning on using my current 4in lift BDS rear springs with a 2.5in shackle flip. i would like to get about six inches of lift.
Today I was looking at your cataloge on ur website and read on the page about ur ORD rear Super Shackles. It recommended a 6'' super shackle, 2.5 shackle flip and 88-98 truck spring. I can get for free a set of rear springs off of a 2wd 98 tahoe, will those work? Can i use them with a 4 in shackle flip? Can i use a 6in shackle with a 4in flip? will I have to re drill the holes in my frame or can i just put them on the " wrong" side?
Will any combination of flip, shackle and 2wd tahoe springs get me about 6in of lift and be better than what I was planning on using?

You can use any spring with the shackle flip in the stock location provided the springs are the same length. The six inch shackle is a nice add on and will help out.

I don't know the length of the springs you are talking about so I can't say if you can flip the brackets side to side or if you will have to move the brackets and redrill the frame.

Get some measurments on the springs if you can and maybe we can help you out here.

53 1/2 inches from mounting bolt to mounting bolt. about 56 1/2 inches if i bend the tape measurer to follow the arch of the spring

With a 56" spring you can flip the brackets side to side and fit them fairly well.

There is always a bit of messing around with them so be prepared to do the work and see what the shackle angle is. If it is not desirable then you will need to relocate the brackets and drill holes.

what is considered a "good" angle? Also will two wheel drive springs give me the same lift as a 4wd? anyone ever uses 2wd springs? should i use a 4 inch flip or 2 inch flip? what size shackle? i would like to get 6 inches of lift if possible.

In order to get 6 inches of lift and use a stock spring you will need a 4 inch flip, zero rate, and 6" super shackle.

Or,

4 inch flip, two inch spring, and use a zero rate or super shackle to correct any saggy butt that might be present.

Or,

four inch springs, 2.5" shackle flip. Since it sounds like you have these springs already you should use this option.

If the rear of the vehicle sits low then you can add a longer shackle and or a zero rate to lift the back up.

Give a call and talk with Stephen about you options and what you use your truck for the most. That is probably the best way to move forward from here. He can discuss shackle angle with you then.
