Thats bad ass man, Anyone would love to do a swap like that. Huge VERY ambitious build, but it looks like it came out great. The first link of pics, the building is AWESOME! Is that a place of bussiness or something? Man, to have room like that for a full teardown project would be incredible! I wish you continued success with it :waytogo:

Mmm a cummins, an allison, an atlas and tons all thrown in to a big ass chevy where can you go wrong?

Looks pretty cool :D.
Now a couple questions for ya. Does that Allison 2000 have the same 29spline rear output that the 1000 series has? Some of us that sledpull have discuss putting an Atlas in our Duramax's and getting rid of the alluminum np261 XHD. Was it a custom Atlas or was it something they offer? What did it run pricewise?

Thanks

Very cool, gonna be a fun ride. I've got an '01 24V, NV4500/205 in mine, running strong for quite a while now.

Atlas makes a 2 speed transfer case that will bolt to the Allison 1000.

check out their site. i LOVE my atlas. so glad i went with it versus the NP205 we orginally considered.

More info on the tranny please, Lots more.

Allison 2000 is a heavy duty Allison 1000. Everything is beefed up-steels, plates, etc. The Allison 2000 is run on a stand alone computer in my rig. First gear is dogged and very short. My Allison is set up to downshift as it feels the brakes initially applied and to be honest, i dont brake hardly ever anymore, all i have to do is tap the brakes and it knows we are slowign down/stopping and it starts downshifting herself and will take herself down to 1st. There is very little jerking and joltin in the downshift as well. most people in the truck that dont know about it just assume im tapping the brakes...but i aint. The gen 4 series is the beefiest steels and plates the 2000 can have... i have a A.S.S. option installed in my Allison (Allison Secondary Shift) with runs with the stand alone computer and allows for economical run and tow/haul mode. The tow/haul mode causes earlyier shift points and stronger shifts. in Tow/haul 5 and 6 are overdrive while in A.S.S. mode, only 6th is an overdrive and 5th gear runs 1:1. In first gear, 4 hi on all tires, she crawls beautifully due to the crazy reduction ratio in the Atlas.

Any other ?s, lol. I"ll tell you what i know (or think i kno haha)

yah-haha-i'mma girl.

this has been my dream truck since i can remember and i spend a LOT of my time and all of my free time working on this rig. when i got her it was ridiculous how bad she was and while it may not look like a lot has been done, its all been a trial and error for me. and luckily i've had more success than error, but i've had to redo somethings. i'm trying to get the interior finished to where i want it before i start upgrading and modifying the engine and powertrain. although i need to get my dual exhaust or exterior side running dual exhaust on soon as well as a better intake.

No it isn't a shop, just the extra barn.

Thank you all for the compliments!! it means a lot. i have worked very hard on this truck and appreciate the comments!!

Yeah, guys, her name's Bernet, according to the top of the page when you're viewing the pics in her build album. Combine that with the name CumminsChick, i just don't see a guy using that for a screen name. Sorta thought it was obvious it was a girl, and that's probably her posing with the 'burb in several pics.:doah::D

LOL! I had just looked at the photo's, yeah I saw the cute chick but I didn't read any of the headings. Reading?!?! naaa, OOHHH pretty pictures!!!!! I'm a guy, what can I say :D. So, Hello Bernet! Very cool to see a chicky doing a build such as yours. Too bad there's not more like you into wheelin. Keep up the great work.

Congrats on the engine swap it looks like a well thought out and executed swap. I see you Linex the interior and I’m considering doing the same thing to my next burb. Did the person doing the liner have any problems shooting the interior? The reason I ask is that most of the shops in the area I live in say there needs to be a certain distance between the surface and the spray gun and say the confines of a suburban restrict the applicator from maintaining this distance resulting in a low quality liner. This is something I would like to get done professionally vs a diy kit from a box store, any ideas or tips that may help would be appreciated.
