88 K5 4x4 trans and transfer issue

Needed help ASAP just built a 383 and currently have 3/4 ton axles what transmission and transfer case do you guys recommend for the 525hp? Thanks I'm new and lost in the transmission world.

I was thinking a 400 turbo but lost on the transfer case subject thank you guys for all your help

Look for 1985 and up SM465 (manual, 32 spline output), NV4500 (manual OD), TH400 (auto), and 4L80E (auto OD) transmissions. Any of them I would trust for your power level. The automatics may require some minor upgrades though. 4L80E will require a stand alone computer to control it (1991 diesel trucks offer the correct one).

The best transfer case options are NP205 or NP241 with 32 spline inputs. The NP205 is all gear driven while the NP241 is chain driven but offers better reduction.
