88' K5 Family Mountain Mobile (Fam.lee Moun.ten Mo.beel)

I've been keeping tabs on your thread too. I may have to head up there sometime and play on some of those grease runs y'all have. You got a nice rig.

Thank you. If you make it out here le me I know. We might make it out your way in the next couple years too.

My sister and her family lived in Longview & Kelso, WA for several years bur recently moved to CA. I was planning on a trip to visit them and wheel a bit. I was going to contact some pacific NW K5'ers to check on some good runs.

No family up there now, I may just have to make a trip for fun now.
If you do make it down here, let me know, I can show you some gnarly BLM trails or some of the best mountain scenery in the nation.

No new equipment, but just some fun playing out in the snow. It wasn't very deep, maybe 8" - 10" at the most, but it was nice being the first rig up the road. Took my daughter sledding and hiked around a little bit. I even got a nature made, complimentary fender flare :D.

I like seeing some scenery from other guys, but I still think I am blessed to live in some of the prettiest country around.

Love those shots B.M.T MTNS!!!

I'm north of the border and it's actually too warm for snow here now...!!??

Can we say green Christmas..??

Looks like if I want to see snow I'll just need to drool over your great photos.

I don't know what the radar is looking like in your area, but we are expecting about 6" - 8" by the end of Tuesday. Our radar shows the system coming from up north so I figured our Canadian brethren would get some too.

Either way, I'll pass along more good pictures as they come along.

I decided that the rig deserved some personalized plates. I have had my username ever since I opened an ebay account years ago. It has been the same on every web forum I ever subscribed to, unless they needed different characters.

I grew up in the back seat of a 4 wheel drive and have spent most of my life living and recreating in the mountains, so why not make it permanent.

Now I can "Be iN Z MounTaiNS"
forever. :D

I paid for the American Military Family certificate and went to get the Support the Troops plates like you have Duane. But the court clerk told me that the state doesn't do those anymore and all the counties will be out whenever they use up the ones that they have in stock. I advised the AMF folks and told them to keep my donation.

So...standard plates it is. I do like the iconic mountain backdrop on the plates though, it kind of fits.

Nice looking blazer. Way to do the steering right after it broke down. Running passes like that the steering and brakes become pretty important. I'm looking forward to hitting some mt trails down there this summer.

Send a message if you want someone to wheel with. I don't know if I'll attempt anything as crazy as you, but I can show you around a bit if you haven't been down here before.

Hey, BNZ, do you mind if I ask more specifically where on the Western Slope do you live?

I haven't been down there before besides running Billings canyon before BB 2012. My family really just like seeing new places while being outdoors. Camping scenic stuff is always cool too, besides just "rock crawler" trails. Who knows some kind of an expedition rig that's more highway friendly might get added to the stable once we are down there. We will be living outside of Idaho Springs just west of Denver. The wife is already saying she wants to go down to 4 corners and explore the south western parts.
