One of my buddies has an 86 k5 and the rearend is gone. It is all stock ,but has found a rearend out of an 88 k5 will it fit in I called some junkyard and he said no ,but I don't see the difference.

/forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifthere should be no difference in them just make sure it has the same gear ratio as the front diff i have an 85 and an 88 and they are both the same hope this helps plus the junk yard is prob thinking it is from a pick up and if that is true then i dont think it will be a bolt in but if it is from a 88 blazer it will /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Yeah it will fit, junkyard might have got confused with a 88 pickup? don't know if they're different.
