88 sub 3/4 ton 4x4 for 7500..........

OK my bud and i are going to look at his first chevy. I know a little about these truck, he knows nothing. He has some good cash to spend. The truck is from a guy who is about 80 or so. I have seen the truck it is perfect!! Very clean and no rust at all. To top it off there is two other subs that come with it. Both dont run. Has high miles on the one that runs. So i need to know what to look for as far as a good runing sub. the only thing i know is it has a newer jet 700r4. So anything you guy can think of please let me know. Mostly want to know about a gas motor. I know a 6.2s a bit and thats it.

Thats what i say as well. It is the best sub i have ever seen and that is what he is looking for. what do i lookf or in a gas motor? thanks
