1/2 ton status
88 sub 2500 decent body and interior project truck.
tbi 350, th400, np208, 10bolt, Semi floating 14bolt.
Runs, barely. Plan on replacing engine. I don't know if its a fuel or ignition problem. there is a trouble code for someignition module, I forget what the number is. I believe it needs a head gasket. It uses coolant over time. Exhaust leaks at both manifolds, exhaust missing after cat, it was rusted anyway. needs master cylinder.
With the exception of the entire rear tailgate and its hinge mounts being rotted away, the body is in excellent shape. There are a few pieces missing from the tailgate. the floors and rockers are in excellent condition for this part of the country. The interior is also in very good condition. There are a couple of minor issues, the drivers power window doesn't go down, and the gasket is missing around the pass window for some reason and it rattles. The air conditioning blows, cool, but its been a while since I tried it. That was the primary reason I bought the truck originally. The previous owner was in pa, I was living in NJ when I bought it. This was my daily driver a couple of years ago. It ran like crap then, and its gotten worse. I was planning on making an avalanche style bed out of it because of the tailgate situation.
I will post in a few days. Having trouble doing it from my phone. The truck has a lot of bird crap on it, its been parked in a shed and apparently birds hang out in there...
