Has anyone ever used 88-up lift spindles on a 73-87 2wd? If so what did you have to do and how does it work? Thanks
-Lance

88-up spindles use totaly diffrent brake parts including calipers. the balljoints might line up but stuff wont be right or a basic swap in job at all.

over at 67-72chevytrucks.com,there are a few guys that have done it with the lowering stuff or to keep 6 lugs. I understand about the brake parts, but I will have custom lines made anyway.

Changing rotors and calipers is the simple crap, I was just curious if the ball joints were able to be fitted(even if it needed different ball joints) and whether the stagger on the control arms was doable.

Fabtech used to make a long travel lift, but I don't think they made spindles for them. That kit seems to be long gone, though. I haven't been able to find anything for these years any more.:dunno:

I guess EVRYTHING has to be custom made for these trucks...what a CROCK!
