89-91 grilles

post up your pics of your rigs with 89-91 grilles with dual headlights. i want to see chevy and gmc. i'm trying to figure out which one i should swap onto my '86, i like both makes so i just need to see some pics to help me make up my mind.

I have an 89 Sub and I am switching to a GMC Grill because I am going to cut out the center and have a custom grill insert make that incorporated the bowtie. I think that the GMC grill offers greater opportunity for customization.

i did the swap on my '88 and i love the look. im planning on eventually getting a billet grill after i get everything else takin care. heres a before and after:

I like the GMC grill a little better, but both are nice.

yeah i picked that up this morning at pick a part, so now on to the next step-get the grille components and lights.

you need the headlight doors and grill for chevy or gmc. the 3 parts dont swap around.

gm # 15628667 and 15628668 left / right doors.
gm # 15628795 grill gmc style parts .

135.66 grill new gm unit and 43.53 each door. all still in gm parts direct listings. i have seen the jap junk and thay suck for fit and finish .
