Swapped an 89 241C w/ VSS into my 85 Suburban w/Mechanical speedo.
Looking for the instrument cluster and speedo, don't necessarily need the other gauges but if its a package deal so be it.

I'm in Maryland and will come pick it up if not too far to avoid shipping hassles. The narrow interchange years make junkyarding for one too much like playing lotto.

I think you are confused on the years. If I understand you correctly you installed an NP241 with electric speedo into an 85 Burb? If that is the case then the t-case you installed is 1990-1991, the 1989 NP241 is a one year only with mechanical speedo so you're now looking for the correct mating speedo and a DRAC module to make it work?

Short answer is Yes.
I bought an 89 700r4 with a 241C bolted up to it. Ran the numbers on the trans and assumed they were both 89. I'll get the numbers off the TC like I should have in the first place.
The 241 has VSS. I kept the mechanical speedo parts from my old 241 ( which apparently IS the 1 year mechanical) but .....long story......So I thought I could swap my instrument cluster to the 90-91 housing and speedo. Wasn't sure about the wiring and electronics between the TC and speedo.

So now i'm confused, your 85 burb would have had an NP208 originally with a mechanical speedo and those parts are not interchangable with the NP241. Did you actually have an NP241 swapped into your 85 burb or are you once again confused on t-cases and years?

LOL I'm sorry man. I went thru a few 700s and along the lines ended up with the 89 241. The speedo guts were there so I had no idea it was a 1 year deal with that 241. The 241 on the last 700 I got looked cleaner than mine so we left it together and slapped it in. I didn't see the VSS problem until I was looking to hookup the speedo. I read up on it and took all the speedo parts off my 89 241 but they're no longer available. I figured it was now easier to find and change the speedo and housing than find that rare 89 241 for the tail parts.

Do you mean that you removed the mechanical NP241 pieces but you either misplaced them or got rid of them? If you still have them it would be ALOT easier to swap the VSS stuff for the mechanical pieces.

I had a hard time understanding all of that. If you are looking for an 89 241 mechanical speedo housing I have one. If thats easier for you.

He would need the housing and all related pieces to go back to mechanical. That would be easier and cheaper than going with the electric speedo anyways.

I have a cluster out of a '79 that got converted. I know that it can't be super difficult to wire, as there aren't that many wires. I put an adjustable DRAC in my '90. I like how easy it is to change and dial it in. I had Brett, (sweetK30) modify mine.
I can look at what parts are here if you are interested.

Here is the cluster that I have. I had pulled the gear indicator for my '90.
The trip odometer is very hard to clear. The lens is in decent shape. I have a DRAC with plug and I can cut the cluster plug out of the '79. I don't think that you will need to cut your plug out, as it looks as this was spliced for just the speedometer. I believe someone else may have more knowledge on that. AZBlazer converted this one.
I would like $100 plus shipping and fees.
