89 and 79 bodies the same??

Can a 89 K5 replace a 79 K5 body? i.e. are the chassis the same??

Same same...except for the front clip. Both have the footwell behind the front seats.

My buddy did a pickup cab swap like this. He put an '81 cab/nose on a '77 frame. The rad support mounts needed to be moved, and it needed 1" of shimming under two of the cab mounts to level it with the box.

K5 might be different though.
