i have a 89 full size blazer and i want to put 35's on it. Does anybody know how much lift i will need to clear 35's with no fender trimming, and if any driveline modifications will be needed. Thanks

Yeah do 2-1/2 inches and cut the fenders. You'll be happier in the long run and if you buy some flairs it will still look fine.

I'm running 6" springs up front on my 89 blazer with 35's and i can easily stuff the tires into the rear of the front fenders (fenders are bent to prove it).

thanks for the help everybody. i think im gonna go with a 6 inch lift, just because i dont want to wind up having to cut anything. does anybody have any advice on gearing for 35's, or if any driveshaft mods are necessary. this is my daily driver, so i want to do it right. Thanks

If you have a 700R4 you would be best with 4.88's BUT if you plan on keeping the 1/2 ton axles i wouldn't go more than 4.10's as the pinion gear in those axles gets real small and weak. I'm running 4.56's and wish i would have went deeper (4.88 or 5.13's).

I have the 6" lift with 35s for the same reason, I didnt want to cut the fenders (my K5 is in pretty good shape) you will need longer driveshafts and I have 4:10s, thought about going with steeper gears but it does pretty good so I stayed with them

With just a 4" lift , I had to shim up my rear to point to the transfer case. Or the rear u-joint would bind when I braked harder than normal.

And like jamber said , a longer rear D-shaft. For like $55 they even put in 2 new u-joints :) .

my new driveshaft, cost 210 in retrospec, i should have just took that money and put it towards a cv shaft.
