Anyone know what you call two flexible wire/rope things that hold the tailgate upp off the bumper when it is lowered?

I need a set.

It's called a tailgate support. You can get it at LMC along with the all bolts if you need them too.

Parts stores sell them now..

The tailgate cables can be had at AutoZone or other parts places now--the
"HELP" brand of parts makes them..dealers still sell them too,for about twice the cost of the "HELP" brand..

Check the local salvage yards.I just bought an entire rust free K5 tailgate for
$50.00 with the glass,hinges and yes the tailgate cables.
