Well, one of their two descriptions is wrong...they list V3500, but they also say "VIN C/K", which I assume is for an IFS truck.

34 gallons seems like an awful large increase over the previous years (weren't the dual tanks 20 and 16 gallons?) but maybe they did manage to squeeze more in? I have limited experience with the side tanks, but it does look like the R/V style saddles. Not sure if the IFS trucks had already moved the tanks inboard of the frame or not.

Yeah, seemed strange to me also, picture looks correct. Mine has a 20 and a 16 currently if I could fit a 34 that would be great. I used to own an IFS truck but cant remember what size the tank was, if thats not it I have no idea what that tank really goes to.

i almost beet 100% thay mix matched body styles. as the 73-87-91 were 15-16 gal and 20 gal. then 88-up new body was 20some and 34 -35 gal size. i would not truct this one bit.

plus with a second look at that pic thay posted . how come the filler tube and vent went to the middle for a old body style. that is for sure a 88-up style not 73-87-91 style.

Yeah this is the later IFS model.
They did go inside the frame.
I believe stock was 20 or 34.
I know Dodge in the same years did the same, 22 or 37.
It is the same style tank just longer for more capacity.

I need a new drivers side fuel tank for an 89 CC, while searching I found this 34 gallon and had never heard of this size before. Does anyone know if this would work as a replacement? The truck is an 89 1 Ton 4wd with dual tanks. (Its the tank on the bottom of the page)

By the way if you have the older style body, those tanks are the same left and right :D
I have one for sale but unfortunately too far from you:confused:

Thanks for the info and offer. I think I'm going to replace them both with the stock 20's as the other side doesnt look like its to far away from leaking itself. Its got a 20 and a 16 now, is LMC the best place to get these?
