'89 GMC 3/4t suburban, straight body/frame, no rust, blown motor.

Sorry to see it in that state, always liked your rig! hope all is well

got a new motor sitting in the garage....too bad you're on the other side of the country from me:dunno::dunno:

Yeah it makes me sad too. I've been wanting to build it up with 1tons and a 5.9l cummins for years but can't justify the cost. $1200 takes it guys.

Transporting it wouldn't be horrible 62.

i can look into shipping cost if you want... $1200 +shipping?

I had a truck shipped from san Diego to Colorado for less than 1000 if anyone is interested in a company name

its in las vegas NV, the trucks never even been to WA. i'm still not sure i want to part it out, not exactly excited to go roll around in the dirt to pull parts off of it.

$1000 guys, come get it! The only thing missing is the front driveline, otherwise it's complete, just doesn't run.

got some interior photos.

on the sun visor next to the "how to put the truck in 4wd" label

the 3rd row with the 2nd row folded down. thats a 35x15.50 SSR spare on a white steel wheel.

dash. that dash mat/cover has been on it since the early 90s, the dash its self only has one small crack in it and its not visible. oh and my ricer pedals..

overhead console, the lights work. that small (pencil diameter) hole in the headliner is the only damage to the headliner, caused by the PO.

Didn't mean to imply I wanted parts, I just replied to one of your posts.:thumb:
Just wanted to know where it's at to see what it's going to take to get it here.
I don't really need another project, but looking into something to invest some money that I can recover if I put one of my engines in it and get it wheeling ready.
Do not hold it for me yet but I am thinking about it.

Shouldn't...do...it...don't...ask....

So, what engine is/was in it?

TBI 350. its still there, just hasnt ran in years. i was a dumb kid and never thought about the fact that it was gradually using more and more oil. when i parked it, it was using 3qts a week of 15-40.. ran a compression test on it 5yrs or so ago, dont remember the numbers but they were low...

well it's sitting here, doing nothing, just like it has for 5yrs..

the funny thing is, after talking to a few friends and getting back into the forums here, i almost don't wanna sell it. that and the fact that the guy i am/was buying the rat rod project from is pissing me off lately. i just can't help but think that i'll kick myself in the ass for ditching it for $1000...

You probably will.
I bought another running sub from a guy here a few months ago, but it's pretty much stock with 33" tires engine has an issue but runns strong and paint and interior is clean, paid $1000 too.
Yours has some problems but also is lifted, so it's worth about $1000 to me, I have everything I need to get it running again but I need to figure out what to do with my other 14 projects first.

yeah the more i think about it. the more i want to keep it and tear back into it. rebuild the engine, revamp the suspension, ditch the body lift, etc... it was my first vehicle, i learned how to drive in that truck when i was like 13-14yrs old. my parents signed it over to me for my 18th birthday, me and the sub have too much history... that and the wife gave me the ok to build and engine for it!
