OBD II started in '95 I believe. I am almost 100% sure on that.

OBD1 for sure, unless you've swapped in a MPI Vortec and the associated computer.

Thanks, been holding off on buying an odb1, but since the truck and the cars use it I will get one wit hthe right connectons. Thanks for the answers.
