i just put in a new fuel pump in a 89 i just bought it wont crank there is no fuel to the injectors they wont spray i checked the fuses they are good where else do i need to look ? the fuel pump is runing any help is appericated:dunno:

when you replaced the pump did you replace the rubber lines in the tank the connect it too?

Well, fuel pumps pump fuel. Its kinda their thing.

So, if the pump is running, and you take the line loose at the injectors and have no fuel, then it can only be a few things.
No gas in the tank for the pump to pump.
Clogged fuel filter, or crimped or stopped up line.
Pump installed wrong, but for the life of me I can't figure out a way to do that so it won't pump.........Upside down maybe??
Well, I guess you could somehow hook the lines up wrong. Maybe hook the vent line to the output and be filling up the charcoal canister.......

Bad new pump.
That could be an actual defective pump, or the line inside has come loose.

i got it going the fuel pressure regulator must have been stuck i took it off and just cleaned it up. but now one of the injectors is pourin fuel instead of spraying and causeing it to flood :doah:it went from no fuel to too dang much allways sumthing

Boy, you are just never satisfied are you? First you complain about no fuel, now its too much........:doah:

Before you tear the injector down, double check the regulator. Sounds like it went the other way.
Those injectors will leak badly if the pressure is too high.
That one is probably just a tiny bit weaker than the other and is bleeding off enough of the excess pressure so it stays closed.
