89 K5 springs for 71 burban?

Hey all,

this is probably a stupid question, but I am not too familiar with chevys pre-73-87 era! I've got a buddy who wants to put my lift springs from my 89 K5 blazer onto his 71 suburban? What is the difference between their suspensions, and could this work? Thanks in advance.

The front springs will not work but you could use the rears from the 89 on the 71 assuming the rears of the suburban are 52's (not sure when GM also used 56's on burbs).
