Hey guys, my blazer has a slight leak on both sides, after a good rain I geta little puddle behind the B pillar on both sides. I am wanting to replace the strip between the top and pillar, lmc has them but I read so many mixed reviews on them I was looking for someone that actually ordered from them and their opinion on the seal.

Thanks

Are you talking the outer or inner seal? There is one that you can see from on top the roof, and then when u take the top off the lip on the bottom has one. I replaced that inner one and got it from classic parts.

It works, no leaks, but was a pain to put on as it just came in a roll and didn't want to stay put on the bends. Some weather stripping adhesive helped hold it. Once the top was put on it formed in really well and stays in place when I take the top off.

Maybe that's the one I need to replace, the outer doesn't look too bad justa bit of cracking on the top. I will look into it bit more oncei can pull off the top. Thanks for the suggestion.

I always spray that outer one down with wd40. Idk if its a good thing or not for it... But it does swell it up (mines also pretty ugly and cracked) and it doesn't leak.

I had the same kind of leak. I fixed it by putting a soft top on lol. Once I took the original top off, I found that the inner seal (that deuling was talking about) was crooked in the middle. So water would leak, run down to the sides, and out the bottom of the top

Thanks, I'll spray it down and see if it helps. Can't hurt because I am looking to replace it anyways. I haven't had the top off as I haven't owned this one yet when weather has been nice enough for it. Might not be tightened properly either the more I think about it because on my old one I had if I didn't draw the front up first it would leak a bit.
