89 motor swap, key wont kill engine after

I put an older motor in my 89 blazer and the original alternator only had two wires coming off it and the motor i just put in it has three or 4, the motor wont turn off unless i unplug the alternator, does anyone know what wires i need to have going to it and what ones i dont is there supposed to be a ground on it?
 
Post up a pic of the alternator you have, and what wires you have attached to it.

why not use the original accessories and belt drive?

I believe there's a conversion pigtail to go from old to new.
Not sure on backwards
