89 tranny swap

i have a 700r4 from my 89 fullsize and i just bought that 89 s-10 with a 4.3 i was told that the 700r4 will bolt up??or is there another tranny that will fit turbo 400??th350??im am just making sure because if so i am starting to tackle the issue in the next few days i need to badly get my 83 camaro off the road thanks for all the help

Externally they're the same. Internally the V8 version has a few more clutch plates, so it should last a long time behind a V6.

the v8 version and the 4.3 version are identical in everyway, it was the 2.5 and 2.8 that got fewer clutches.

the 4.3 has the same bellhousing pattern as a 350 so they will all work, just have to move the tranny crossmember

you can use a 700r4, th350 or th400
