image.jpg Where do you guys place the under hood lights that you grab from the 88-up trucks at on the older square bodies?

I put mine exactly where they put them on the 88-91 Suburbans that had them also.

Seen here:

If you get the wiring harness from a square with it, the power is pulled from the diamond shaped junction block just above and to the left of the brake booster on the firewall.

I put one right next to the passenger side battery on my '82 diesel pickup,on the fender...that way the wire to power it from the battery only has to be a foot long..
I have to make sure it doesn't get left on accidentally or turn itself on though, being hooked directly to the battery--it'll drain them both flat overnight..mine likes to unspool itself a bit too, every so often I have to wind it back up and secure the lamp..if my truck didn't ride like it had dead axles it probably wouldn't do that..

my 90 'burb has it on the driver side inner fender also...

Zoomad does not look like yo have A/C which is problem there could move it toward relay on fire wall but would have to cut extra off relay bracket for another relay and then it would fit.

And to the others :sign6:so post some up to get good view and ideas.

It still should fit in the area. I swiped a pic of Larry's Polarbear Burb, he's got the factory light that came in the truck and has AC.

If my engine compartment looked like that I'd use a bigger light
