I got a 89 ck5 when I turn on the windshield wipers they don't come on, but when I hit the button for the window washer the wipers work for that short amount of time. I thought it was a bad switch so I replaced the wiper/turn signal switch this afternoon and it's still doing the same thing. Any one have experience with this issue?

I haven't had that problem.
Do you have delay with your wipers?
Cuz those modules seem fairly durable, but you never know. I would go there next, but I have spares...

I had a motor give me problems, but it had no delay function and I had to move the switch toward the wash function to get the wipers to turn off.

As far as having a delay I'm not sure I bought the vehicle yesterday afternoon. I just think it's weird how they work when hitting the washer function but won't turn on normally.

By delay, I mean intermittent function. It will have a section on the switch between off and low speed that let's you set the pulse timing of the wipers.
And if it does, then you will have a pulse module that the wiring from the switch plugs into.

Ok so I went to pick n pull and got to modules today when I tried both of them the wipers came on but would not shut off. Does that mean those modules were bad? Or is it another issue?

When you have the wipers on, can you get them to shut off by bumping the switch to the wash function? That is how mine was. I had to replace the motor.

Maybe you had a bad pulse module and a bad motor?
