How do you find out if your 14bff has a 9.5 or 10.5 ring gear?

Is there a difference in strength or locker choices?

Thanks again guys,
Adam /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

what he said, the 14bsf is 9.5" and teh ff is 10.5". as for strength, never seen anyone break a sf so they must be preaty strong. i would go with a ff though. *IF* you do break a sf axle, it will come out on you just like a 10b or 12b.

the locker for a ff is cheaper (detroit) by alot over a sf.

i have seen 9.5" death

bearings give and pinions twist, gears jam up and chew up

and that was just in a street lifted daily driver with a normal 350 and stock driveline

i dont trust any 9.5, i always rmeove for a 10.5 to go under

9.5" is a semi flaoter just like the 8.875 and 8.5 are,

what is flagstaff like ? i have an interest in arizona for an unknown reason, like ot hop ei get ot live there someday

good luck
