Hi, Shane here just looking for a frame for my 90 blazer just wondering if any year will do or am I going to run into some issues with mounts,etc... or should I concentrate on certain years close? thanks for the help! as I say a stupid ? is better than a stupid mistake right.:draw:

Not all Blazer frames are the same. Not sure when the split was, but at least in the early to mid 70s there was no footwell for the passengers in the back seat. As such, the frame curves up immediately behind the front seat area. Obviously, your truck has a foot well for rear passengers, so the frame wouldn't curve up till farther back. I believe the split was in the late 70s.

correct. 78 and up had the dropped footwell.

the 81' and newer frame horns are different too. at least the fronts are.

i would look for the newest frame possible. just so any small brackets or misc, stuff that might have changed throughout the years would be the same. like 87' and newer.

Good catch on the frame horns! Definitely go '81 up. It means less to remember when buying replacement parts as needed. I.E. steering braces are different between stuff before and after 1980, etc.
