great truck for that price, I'll be watching as i didn't have the guts to try an ls and am going back in with a carbed 383. cool rc turbofan jet on your wall. we fly a good bit of rc stuff at our house too

Removed all the wiring, AC, and wheel wells

Check with BAR, there are steps you can take to certify it. Iirc it will either need to meet the donnor's standard, or 2021 standards.

Engine swaps in calif have to meet the donor vehicle smog requirements and have to go to a state referee to be inspected.
State Referee's are idiots. The only reason a smog inspection station becomes a referee, be cause they inept and can't get/keep customers. Every one I ever had to deal with fit this category. Or they were out right crooks.
That is just the way it goes. I am with you on their competence.

I have been continuing work on this and had the first fire on the engine this last weekend, and today will be working on the EVAP system for the emissions portion.
