90 K5 ECM removal

how hard is it to remove the stock ECM from inside the dash?do I need to remove the top dash pad or?

you can get to it just by removing the glove box.

thanks, i never looked, all i know is i saw it way up in there when i fixed the heater door

Yeah, just pull the glove box down (don't drop all your gloves!) and it's right there. Undo one bolt at the end of the retaining strap and it'll drop down. Be careful how you pull the 2 wide block connecters off.
