I know that most 3/4 and 1 tom suburbans for my year came with 56" rears. my 1/2 also has them. does anyone know if this was part of a towing package or heavy duty 1/2 ton? Or did chevy use the 56 and 52s interchangeably for my year.

mine are 56" stock, I think thats normal for burbs. I didnt think that thay made 1 TON burbs in any year /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif

Some have the 52's & some have the 56's.My 90 V2500 came with the 56's. I'm not sure what determines what springs they will come with. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

my 90 had the 56's as well. 56's are for higher load so i would guess if a 1/2 ton had em it prbably has a towing package option?

I think it depends on the year. '73 through '80-something got 52's then they changed over to 56's. My '90 1/2-ton came with 56's, but I swapped them out for a set of 56's from a 3/4-ton pickup. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
