90 V2500 350 w/ turbo 400

I have a turbo 400 in my 90 V2500. havent dropped the pan yet, but the
fluid looks pretty clean & not burnt. I know its a heavy pig, like you all I still love these trucks. it feels like my first gear shift way to quick to second, which is killing me on start & hills. Im going to drop the pan & change the filter, possibly adjust the bands if needed, just curious if anyone else had this issue.
