I have a friend that has a 3/4t 2wd sub. it has a 14bff and tbi350 in it the only thing wrong w/ it is the 700r is bad.He only wants 500$ for it, it was an old state truck and still runs good, no idea how many miles though. i was thinking about getting it b/c i could use the rear springs on my tow rig and the 14bff as the one i have is a sf. not to mention the tbi system for my blazer. question is is this a good doner truck for tbi? could i use the tank and all that on my 78' blazer? i've heard rumors of only 10 wires to run the tbi, is that true? could i adapt this to my 78' motor as it is very fresh? also do i need the gauge cluster from the burb? ok enough tbi questions for now i can search the rest. what do you guys think, good deal for the parts that are there? thanks-justin

I thought that all 1991 3/4's had the 4L80E ... so either it's not a 1991 or it's been messed with. Maybe that was 1991 *4WD* trucks.

That said, the motor is prolly worth it. The tank itself will not fit (it's prolly a 41-ish gallon, too big for the Blazer) but I *think* the senders will cross.

The rear axle may have the shock mounts in the wrong place, so could require some minor welding, but the perches will be the right width. The parking brake cables would need to be mixed-and-matched between the two trucks.

The gauge cluster in the Burb will be set up for the electronic speedo, so
I'd avoid it. You don't need it for TBI anyway.
