91 350 to 89 454 swap ?'s

Cool, this stuff is starting to make more sense .

I thought only the diesels had stand alone comps for trans?

That's what i'm thinking but wasn't 100% sure. Just make sure Brian knows you have a 4L80E and you should be good to have him burn a chip for you.

Actually, now that i think about it my buddy bought a 91 burb with a stock gasser and it has a 4L80E (can't say about it being a stand alone controller though).

what other info would he need?? eventually I'd like to get into burning my own chips.
I bought my G/F a new mac and I took over her Dell laptop with intentions of making it a dedicated "tuner" for my TBI endeavors.

But for my baseline I'm gonna go with your suggestion and get a prom burned by someone who knows what there doing

I think it would be a good idea to start with PROM software TunerPro http://www.tunerpro.net/downloadApp.htm TunerPro is FREE:D.

With TunerPro you can first learn to Read the information in the PROM, then as you learn more and more, you can Write (BURN) information into a PROM.

Some basics about TunerPro files:
.XDF file is a definition file - ECM 1227747 is $42 definition file.
.BIN file is a binary file - ASCN is a binary file for a 1988 GMC 1 Ton 2WD pickup with a 4 speed manual transmission.

I do my own PROM programming.

A Supercharger? I do not have experience with a Supercharger.:dunno:

The key to programming fuel injection for a Supercharger, is to have a computer that can be programmed for forced induction. The KEY phrase is a computer and MAP sensor working 2 Bar, or 3 Bar. I think maybe a dual TBI setup with a Supercharger is a possible setup to make 525 Ft/Lbs. Most likely I would try a MegaSquirt computer to use for a Supercharged engine.
