'91 Blazer 347 days in the body shop!!!

Go to pick her up tonight, bought it off an estate sale 5 years ago for $1300. She was my daily driver till last December, when I took her in for inspection and have a couple spots welded up... Well, a week later I get a call from my buddy who's doing the work, "I need you to come down to the shop, we need to talk...". Well, a new tail pan, inner and outer rockers, gas filler panel and custom fabricated section where the rear floor is boxed out, and 347 days later, she ready to put the interior back in!!! You would have never thought this thing needed that much repair, but the more we dug in the more it just crumbled... On the positive side I have a completely rust free truck now!!!

No, thankfully he only worked on it at his convenience to save me $$$, which unfortunately he's really busy and has a good reputation...

sounds just like mine. the carpet was wet after a day of wheeling, pulled it out to find there wasn't any sheet metal left behind the carpet, just caked mud. that's why it's been sitting for the past 2 years in the driveway half disassembled and half repaired

Yeah, I'm really anxious to see it, he made the boxed out section out of much thicker sheet metal, and he said he designed it so it protects the seatbelt area from debris being thrown up in there, the scary part is I knew where these things rust out, and until you physically poked at stuff it lookedfine, the rockers for example looked great... Tailpan had one little bubble, it's like it rusted from the inside out and only the paint was holding it together
