This came out my 91 on the passenger side rear floor next to the rear bench seat. Can't recall if there was anything else attached to it as I took it out a year ago.

Any help appreciated and if you have a pic of what it looks like complete would help.20260709_125849.jpg

I wanna say that is for the extendable strut that holds the seat in the folded forward position.

Why did you need to add the extension to the strut? Doesn’t it fold fully vertical in stock form? (I haven’t had one in forever)

Apparently, this is how it was made, and it locks the seat vertically for extra space. The seat would probably fall down without piece. This is my first time dealing with this part, I had a 74 K5 thirty-five years ago but no idea if that was available back then and I definitely don't remember.

The '73-'77 seats were stationary, no fold and tumble feature.

I know what the strut is for, my 91 had one. Post #13 mentions an “extension” and there appears to be an additional piece riveted to the lower end of the strut, is that something you added?

Nope, that is how I bought it. I actually have all the parts for the original rear seat part and it's the same as the above picture, but it needs some tlc and the circular ring which attaches to the floor piece is broken and could be welded to fix. I will probably clean it up, repair it, paint it and keep it as a backup.
