Over Christmas I wanted to re -do the '91. Well...it took a bit longer than expected and still has lots of little jobs to be done but it's up and running again now!
I went from a bog-stock truck to a 4" Ez ride lift/zeros on the front and a shackle flip/zeros on the rear. Edelbrock front shocks, procomp rears.35" BFG MT beadlocked.
I swapped in the 10 and 12 blts off of my old '78 as I'd just put 4.10's in them with a lockright rear before I cut the old fella up (rusted to hell).
ORD's crossover, bolt in brace and hydro assist which I have since removed as it was too slow for street use for me. HAD rear shaft with CV.
The motor is rebuilt with flat tops +.030, Edelbrock cam and manifold. Trans is full of TCI clutches and shift kit and an RV converter.
Kilby OBA is mounted but I've yet to mount a tank and plumb it in.
No real reason for the post....I just know you all like looking at pics!!:D
First pic is just of the '78 being recycled the rest are just ramdom shots of the build.

Yeah lots of looks! Some are 'wow' and some are wtf's wrong with that 'car' as they hear the locker clicking loudly out of turns!:D

Nice job Mark!

Looks like you pick up rust pretty quick in that area.

my rear end is welded.:D you should see some of those looks I get while turning in the parking lots. people think Im roasting my tires but then they look and see Im barely moving.:haha: I wish I could hear what some of them are saying.

nice blazer by the way.;)

Nice looking truck! :thumb:

I thought you had some custom bumpers, was that on the '78?

Yeah I've still got the bumpers off of the '78. Not sure if I want to cut my chassis about to fit them. I kind of like the look of the stock ones even though they're none too tough!
But as you know...it ain't never finished!:D

When I'd cut the '78 up I asked a friend of mine who has a body shop if he could get his scrap metal man to come and take the remains away (everything except the driveline. I'd cut the whole truck up into lift-able size pieces!
When he turned up (bearing in mind most our cars are smaller than American stuff) he took one look and said " I'd better go and get a bigger truck!":haha: . He came back an hour later and we completely filled his 'bigger truck'!:D
