91 Burb Disk conversion, breaking problems??

I have a 91 suburban with a ff 14bolt w/ locker. This year has the RWAL system in it!?! Not sure how this will affect it. I completed a rear disk conversion and now what?? :confused:

What needs to be done to make this thing break right? The MC is the original one for a rear drum setup, but brand new. should i get a disk/disk one from a mid80 caddy? adjustable PV?? Got the thing bled with no problem, but the peddle still drops way to far and it takes way to long to get this thing to stop.

Any ideas? Thanx, Ross
 
either get an adjustable prop valve or get the prop valve from wilwood that is designed for disk/disk brakes.
 
will the wilwood work with the disk/drum mc i have now or would i have to find a disk/disk and then add it?thanx, ross

I think the master will do just fine.
The prop valve is what will make the difference, you could modify it to work with disc/disc, but it takes some work, might be easier to buy the wilwood.:D
If you a do a search on here, you should find a thread or 2 about modifying the PV. You have to take it appart and remove some parts.
 
I have had no problems with my '90. It is set up the same way as your '91. ABS sorks fine. I have done nothing to master r the prop. valve.​
 
do you have the factory 10 bolt front axle and factory calipers on the front still? If so then you should be able to make your setup work. I was running a 14b FF disc rear and factory 10 bolt disc front and it worked fine. Does the pedal get more firm if you pump it a few times? Might have to try that with the engine off so the vacuum booster doesn't slow the pedal down.
