91 k5 blazer won't start

I have a 91 blazer that I got screwed on I got it on a trade for a 02 Yamaha worrier that was only gonna need a fuel pump but it needed a gas tank sendin unit and fuel pump flex plate fuel lines and tires the tires that came with it were the wrong size for the rims and the rims didn't even fit the truck after I got every thing new except tires and rims I tried to start the truck with the trany out it ran fine just wanted the see if I had any leaks and no leaks I put every thing back together and it wouldn't start no fuel to the injecters found out was a kinked line guess that's what I get for putting the tank in with some who has no machnical experience but was teaching them but any way no I get fuel to the injectors and it will spin over and try to to start almost sounds like its flooded then it will spin over a few times doing nothing then will try to start and if you hold it to the floor won't do nothing but spin over and tried starting fluid does the same thing as not using it at all I pulled the plugs cleaned them it's getting good spark cleaned the cap and rotor just in case still same thing any help would be nice thanks rusty
 
Timing way off? If it won't start with starting fluid, and you've got spark, something else is going on.

Can you see the fuel injectors injecting fuel as the engine turns over? Holding pedal to the floor STOPS injection of fuel, so you just need someone to crank it over while watching the injectors.
 
I'm of no real help, but here's a translation for folks who would know the answer:

He's got a '91 Blazer. He replaced the tank, and pinched a line in the process. He's getting fuel to the injectors, and the engine sounds like it's trying to start. Sounds almost like its flooded. He tried starting fluid, but that doesn't do anything. He pulled the plugs, cleaned them and checked for spark. Cleaned the cap and rotor, just in case. Still nothing.

Sorry about that should of done that. I did have some spin it over and yes there is fuel coming from the injecters. I did not mess with the timing at all. And it ran before now. And thanks for the welcome. Rusty
 
Can you turn the distributor? Maybe it got turned when it fired up, happened to me when I forgot to tighten the lock down bolt. All an engine needs is Air, Fuel, and Spark. Its obviously getting air, because your breathing, if its getting constant fuel to the engine, then that's not it. But how does the fuel pattern look leaving the injectors? Is it a strong conical shape, or dribbling out, you shouldn't see any big droplets leaving the injector pod. It has to be spark, now maybe its not getting ENOUGH spark. As in maybe the coil is worn out, or possibly you have a computer problem, a fuse blown or something. And always check the simple stuff first, I have seen guys work for weeks on major huge completely complicated take it to the shop type problems, only to figure out its out of gas or there is a blown fuse.
 
It's getting a spray of fuel like it should worked on tbi engines before just checked the distributor won't turn its tight will Chang coil with my s10 tomorrow to see if that's it.
 
So was the kinked fuel line replaced?
 
Yes checked that this morning could the pinched line hurt the fuel pump but it's getting great fuel spray from the injectors I check it and even looked at my s10 and it's spraying the same way a good cone shaped spray
 
Just a thought, but I had a spark plug wire get burnt and short against the exhaust manifold, causing the engine not to start when it would short out... I didn't check the plug wires because they were brand new, I had just put them on a few days prior to the trouble beginning. The plastic spark plug wire clamp had become brittle and apparently broke when I ran the new wires allowing it come in contact with the exhaust manifold. I told you all of this, because sometimes you are so confident you did something correctly that you overlook something that should have been an easy fix... just because you may have had spark when the fuel line was pinched, doesn't necessarily mean you have it now.
Assuming the timing hasn't changed, and it used to run, If you have spark and fuel, it should fire. If you have fuel now that you fixed the fuel line problem, it would seem that you either don't have spark, or that it's sparking at the wrong time. If you have fuel now, it should be flooding the motor with gas since it's not firing... After trying to start it, pull a plug and have a look at it. How exactly did you check for spark before?
If you swapped coils, are you sure the wires are connected properly? Did you by any chance run new wires, and the previous owner had installed the distributor 180* off, or maybe only a post or two off? I have found some cars that instead of reinstalling the distributor properly, they just reinstalled the plug wires so that it would run. It's hard to tell what a previous owner has done. It's frustrating I'm sure, but hang in there and you'll figure it out eventually. It's always good to go back and double check stuff, even if you just checked it yesterday.
