Ok so what is the purpose of the fake fuse marked "shunt" in the under dash fuse box of my 91 K5? Recieves key on power only. I drove the truck without it and noticed no issues.
Shunt connects one side of a fuse "strip" to another side. Each fuse is not run off of an individual wire. They generally look like this on the backside of the fuse panel: http://www.delcity.net/images/photos/7389520_primary.jpg
A shunt just let GM continue that "string" of fuses on the same power feed.
