Pulled the Grille on my 91 to repaint the gray/black inlay. My bowtie is cracked so I figured I would get a new one. Only looked quick as I was heading to work but it appears glued into the grille? Big blob of soft glue on the backside. ???

I think there are 2 plastic studs on the back that are clipped or glued.
No studs.. All kinds of glue however. Busted it getting it off. No big deal as the one on there was pretty bad.
Knocked down the paint and prepped it for paint. Rattle canned with flat black fusion. Not all that happy with the results. Fusion didn't exactly lay down as smooth as expected. Oh well.

So I get the bowtie below for my grille. Dosent fit 1991, too big studs don't line up in grille. So I wonder what years work on my 1991?

Old vs new
A few years ago you could still get them from the dealer.
I'd try there before paying that much for a used one.
$27 bucks from Chevy. Done deal.
