I have found a 91 k with 52000 original miles. It is a GMC, loaded and all stock. Everything is in excellent condition. Just wondering if $7000 is too much? This is a rare find for the condition it is in.

Nope...If you're thinking about it, it ain't too much.

That's about a thousand more than the high-end NADA book retail value - but if it was super-straight, with no rust whatsoever (and no half-ass body and paint work), and just had normal wear for a well-maintained 15 year old truck with 52,000 miles, I'd probably pay it, or pretty close.

If you bought it, would you be looking at a 99% street-use daily driver type of thing, or are you going to make a rock-crawler/mud-bogger, or somewhere in between?

(as soon as it's 20 years old, it will become a "classic" and the NADA book value just about doubles)

My plans for now are to just have it for a weekend vehicle. No plans to do any extreme mods. Basically just something for PA winters.

Well I gave about a thousand less than that for my '84 with 75K original miles in mint condition and with Silverado package. It all comes down to "is it worth it to you". Probably last a very long time and much cheaper than buying a new truck. I'd pay it.

so you're looking for something to sacrafice to the salt gods. just buy a beater for 10% of the price, when winter is over, beat the piss out of it until it dies, scavenge any usable parts off of it, and sell them to recoup some of the cost, and repeat the following years. no sense in buying something super solid just to sacrafice it.

I'm not buying it to beat it around. I take excellent care of every vehicle i own, so basically I'm saving it from someone else that would buy it and abuse the excellent condition that it is in. It will be driven every week and be well taken care of. It will be my first k5.

If you don't buy it post where it's at here. I'm sure someone would love to have like new un hacked on Blazer.

I will do that only if I don't buy. There is a 99% chance that I am though. It is a rare find for the model and condition. Black/Gray/Red ext. with gray interior.

I bought my '91 for $2,800. No rust no dents. 150k but new crate motor. I've had it over a year now and no repairs except an idler pully

a few years ago when i bought my 91 blazer I found a guy in my neighborhood that has a 91 with (then ) 48k original miles-he bought it brand new in Richardson, TX in 90 and it was blue w/ factory grey leather and a custom rear bench seat, was the cleanest blazer i have ever seen in my life-when i asked how much, he replied $11K and i laughed to myself, and 2 days later i found mine about 90% of that one for $7k
