Hey guys,
I did a TBI 350 swap in my crawler and it doesn't run so great. I couldn't get the OBD port to work, but now it magically does. I'm getting code 43, knock sensor issue. My knock sensor is showing 100k ohms (I'm pretty sure that 3.9k is for manual transmissions), but I'm replacing it anyway. I pulled the knock sensor wire and checked it for DC voltage and only had 0.5v. If I unplug the ESC module I get 0 volts.
Is there a way to check the ESC module, or is it pretty safe to say that it's trashed?
What kind of voltage should be coming into the ESC?
Also, I noticed that the 4.3 ESC and the 350 ESC of the same year have different part numbers. I can't imagine that one runs at 5v and the other at 0.5v, but could that be my issue?
I did swap the ECM for a V8 version, rather than just swapping EPROM chips.
Any experience?
