Anyone else have the green part of the gauge cluster that the shift indicator wire goes around break off?

It doesn't look like anyone makes that part any longer. I figure the only way to fix it is with some epoxy and possible some stainless steel supports.

Pretty common that they break off, yes. Epoxying the part with some reinforcement BEFORE they break wouldn't be a bad idea, and afterwards don't see why it wouldn't work either.

Most of them seem to break when the cluster is worked on, not just randomly, although I'm sure that happens too...those cluster housings are quite brittle unfortunately.

I ended up using loctite plastic epoxy and some soft plastic I cut up from a trash can lid. I'm letting it set up for a couple of days before I reinstall it. It does look like it will hold, but we'll see what happens.
