91' steering column in 85' Blazer

I have an 85 K5 with a worn out steering column and no key. I also have a nearly mint column from a 91' suburban. Both units are tilt.cruise,delay wipers. Has anyone attempted to swap a newer column into an older vehicle? I know it will bolt up but im concerned with the wiring.

same body style then bolt in and plug in swap.

but cant use 88-up new body in old. but can use some parts from them in out old ones.

Thanks. I hadnt had a chance to pull them and compare connections yet, but i definitely dont feel like tearing apart the column in the 84' if i dont have to.

early 80's went wipers off dash to column so check first and good to go if same.

I put the column from a 91 Burb in my8
84 M1008 (K30). It was easy - bolted right in, and gave me tilt steering and delay wipers I didn't have before.
