'91 TBI 350 cid running bad

I have a '87 K5 w/ a '91 TBI 350cid. I just bought the blazer from a guy a couple of months ago and everything on the truck is new or rebuilt. All of the sudden my service engine light is coming on and off. When sitting at a red light the truck tries to idle fast then back down. If you get in the gas the engine makes a slight gurgling sound (like a timing issue), the service engine light comes on, when you let out of the gas it quits making the noise and the light goes out.

Any ideas on where I can start looking??

that sounds oddly like a knock sensor issue, the best way to start trouble shooting is stated above, pull codes and go from there
