91 to 73 K5 Nose Swap

I know this has been discussed a lot already but I have a question

The fender - door gap gets wider as you look down so i found that removing the radiator support mount it almost lines up perfect

It's seems I now have to cut the rad support mount perchs in half to compensate for the width of the mount

Is this a bad idea or am i missing something? Everyone else says all they had to do was swap the wiper linkage and they were done on the 85s and 87s. Any insight is appreciated

There is a difference in the core support mounts.

Yeahhhhhh idk how they are different but they are... I think I have both sets at the shop. I'll try and dig them out tomorrow

Ok, I think I might just get a couple washers and find a couple thin poly bushings somewhere. That way if I need to I can adjust the height
