92 4l80e -BBC Suburban into a 91- SBC k2500 Suburban

the reverse is out in the 91 suburban and found a replacement 4l80e from a 92 suburban that had a bbc.
Is there anything I should be aware of before I pick this up? I believe it should bolt right in? might pick up the transfer case as well and replace both at the same time.

The 241 in the '92 will be driver side drop. Won't be able to use that in your '91. But just keep your current 241 and everything else is kosher.

But wait!

You didn't say if your Sub is 1/2 or 3/4 ton. If its half ton then you're going to need to find the correct 241 passenger drop case with 32 splines as if you have a 1/2 ton the case will have 27 splines.

Duh! Saw your title said 2500 Sub so you'll be fine with the swap.

thanks. I do have the 3/4 91 so it sounds like all will be good. It will be nice to be able to move the Burb around without having to rebuild the existing trans.
I will rebuild it at a later date but for 350 I figured it will get me around for now.
