I have a 92 G20 Van. 350. I had the brakes redone because of the idiot light beng on. He replaced pads on F&R. Mechanic said the light was on because of worn pads in the rear antilock. He didn't have the unit to reset the computer but said it is ok. I left it alone for a few weeks and then the light started flashing. There is a pattern to the blinking. Is this because it needs to be reset or is it a bigger problem. Brakes seem to be operating properly. Can I reset myself or bring to a mechanic. Thanks for the help.

To clear the code and see if it'll come back, remove the tail lps fuse for at least 10 seconds with the van OFF. Re-install and start the van and see if it comes back.

K, one a 92 G20 having a 10 bolt, would have drums and thus shoes in the rear not discs and pads unless it has aftermarket work done to it.
Second the ABS on those is front only not the rear.
Third to reset the computer on the van disconnect the battery for something like 15 mins and it will clear all the codes.

Yeah I have a G20, and do all my own work to it and your mechanic is full of poo poo.
