trying to figure out the tow rating on my 92 truck the door sticker says gawr front 3925 rear 3750 i believe this number is for loaded wait on the axle. As it sits right now 350 tbi nv4500 14bolt semi float extra cab wheel base is at 141.5 inches 373 gears. The trailer ways in about 2200 lbs bumper pull and rig is unknown at this time i would guess around 5500 or so k5 but all tubed and not to much sheet metal stock frame. single axle trailer brakes. I have towed with this before and did fine going up hill at about 25-30. Really i want to know if i am pushing my luck or not i am hopeing to have a cc again next season but this is what i have for now also the farthest i would be going would be about 2.5 hours. Total wieght would be around 13,000 give or take so if some one knows what the gvwr would be with the bigger axle in it then stock. that would help thanks.

I don't know the specs on that truck, but I think you'd be fine. If it was me I'd add electric brakes to the second axle, it makes a good difference, and you won't wear out the shoes as fast either. A helper spring or even air bags would be a great addition but probably not mandatory.

If by clovis you mean here in the central valley where do you wheel? If it's Pismo you'll be fine (cuesta grade coming home is a pain but do-able).
If you wheel in the sierra's I think you're going to hate life. I used to tow with a vortec 454, 4l80, 4.10's and 33's with my light trailer and 4,000 pound truck and it was managable but stressful. The 4 lanes is a killer.
The fact you have a 4500 is cool, better than an auto.

i wheel the sierras mostly made it up 4 lanes once at a very slow rate but i am never in a hurry heading up there anyways. the farthest i am thinking of towing would be hollister if i remember right there is only one big hill between here and there. i feel it would do fine just wondering what the specs where so i could judge it a little better. hopefully next season i will have a bigger rig to tow with.
