any one converted auto to 5spd in a suburban,, i have one i want to convert, how hard is the clutch pedal setup, i have a 93 nv4500 and 241 allready....
They never made a manual suburban in 93, so not sure if all the bracketry is there or would bolt up. But you could get a 93 truck in a manual, and AFAIK, they are the same from the front seats forward.......
I have done this swap on a 1992 K suburban. It was a straight across bolt in. The holes for the pedals and clutch master are already dimpled in the firewall. I think the holes are dimpled in the floor for the shifter as well. If you're using an NV4500 the driveshafts will work as well. You will have to use the tcase that was behind the 5sp as the output on the auto and the 5sp are different sizes, or at least they were on the one I did. The crossmember is the same and everything. It was as easy as unbolting one and bolting the other in. +1 on changing the prom.
