ok i did a search on this and i have asked before over at offroad.com but i still cant find 8 to 6 lug adapters/spacers i know i have seen them before and requires you to machine the axle down so it will fit in a 15inch wheel. if anyone knows were i can get this it would help alot. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif thanx

They used to be sold on echobit, but I think it was Waxer making them. PM him on here. If he wasn't the one, he'll likely know who was.

(so 6 of the opriginal 8 studs holds the adapters on ?)

i am pretty sure there should be 8 studs holding the adapter on and 6 going to the wheel.

The overlay of the bolt patterns does not allow for use of 2 of the 8 studs. The missing studs are 180° from each other. That is the only way I have seen it done. There really isn't a strength issue. An 8 lug uses 9/16 studs and a lot of 6 lug use 7/16 studs (WTF?)

then what happens to those two studs that overlay? they stay dont they?

It appears that your'e going to have to knock those out of the hub.

there are tons of companys that make these look on
www.sema.org and find exhibitor listings under wheel adapters there were about 6 different companys at the sema show in vegas that are building these they are made out of 6061 alluminum and are strong ass hell.

very well said /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
the wheel is held on with 6 7/16"inch studs and the spacer is held on with 6 9/16:inch studs...
I make them from 6061 T6 alum.

not at all, alot of guys are running 1" to 2" inch spacers on there axles, and the six 9/16"inch wheel studs that hold the spacer ring on are alot stronger then the six 7/16"inch wheel studs that hold the rim on...
